1、工夫和功夫
现在高考特别强调以能力立意命题，注意对学生理论联系实际和创新意识的考查。由此，同学们的功夫要想达到高考所需要的高度，单纯地靠拼时间、搞题海、死记硬背等做法已不适应新的考试要求。所以，同学们不能只以学了多长时间为目的，而是要看有多少是有效时间，更要看是否在能力上有所提高。
当然，功夫是要有工夫做保障的，所以，要想学习好，就不能偷懒，就要多学多练。而且，要学得聪明，要反思自己的学习，要问一问自己学得是否有长进？对自己的弱科弱项是否有主动补习的计划？是否充分利用了学习资源等等。
2、做题和写题
同学们每天都忙于做题，但往往只重数量却忽视了质量，只关注会做不会做、结果对不对，却忽视了其他更加重要的，比如书写、思路的总结。
书写规范也是思维能力和逻辑推理能力的体现，对提高理性解题能力非常有帮助。由于同学们使用的教辅资料预留书写空间太少，要尽量主动选择一些题目规规矩矩书写解答过程。建议每科自备一个“好题本”，将经典题目及其解答过程规范书写下来，并经常翻看此本，定会受益匪浅。
平时还要多看一些有详尽解答过程的例题。先独立念题、审题、分析，找出解题路径，然后和答案对照。对一些典型例题不能只满足于看明白，要独立默写出解答过程，这样既可以培养书写能力又可培养对题目背景深刻理解的能力，还是检验是否真会的有效措施。
3、听明白和想明白
许多同学常苦恼于课上听老师讲得很明白，可一到自己做题怎么就不会了呢？事实上，听得明白是你在老师一步一步的引领下明白的，这并不是你自己真实能力的体现，更不代表你已经具备了解决这些问题的能力。因此，要想提高分析问题解决问题的能力，就必须在“听明白”的基础上进一步去“想明白”。“听明白”只能说你被别人说服了，而“想明白”是自己说服自己，是真正弄明白，想明白更是对基础知识和基本技能进行加工、浓缩、提炼、升华，形成综合能力的关键。所以，课上要积极思考，课下要及时再想一想。
